My Cyber-Personality and Us
In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth.
In the beginning, I created a Cyber-Personality that promises my escape from tedium; also to keep up with the lively façade I had shown you from the instant we started texting.
Illusions are quite easy to grasp because Reality is ad nauseum. The Cyber-Personality is a perfect me: Perfect jokes that suit your taste, overconfidence and all that... But in Reality, I'm still that Vampire who--although has his daylight amulet--hides beneath a hood.
'I am bored' You say but 'if I could switch up to my Cyber-Personality' is what you intend asking.
If I run dry of jokes...would you still want me? Or would you run up to the next clown who is ready to make you feel happy...?
'Feel happy?' because you're not.
It's what's expected of you anyway. Before you met me, I'm sure the previous dude had stopped humouring you.
Stop seeking for someone who must make you happy, find a dream even if it seems unattainable and get busy chasing that. It should make you happy.
Whenever I excuse My Incredible Internet Personality, My 'physical' tells me to hug the blame for not being absolutely real with you in the first place.
'It's my fault' he tells me.
But, while growing, I was made to believe that 'To catch a monkey, you gotta act like one' and The Universe had walled me with friends who held placards; on them--inscriptions--that had 'You gotta be a funny dude to get a beautiful girl.'
So you see, I had to fabricate a Cyber-Personality where you can benefit Vastly from. But for how long??
We cyber-touched and canoodled with words I didn't particularly mean. I thought you would love my words better when we met but I was wrong. You preferred the Pseudo-texts. You preferred the Cyber-Me!
Sometimes, we listen to what we see than what we hear.
I live in your head. I want to discuss the depths of my soul with 'The physical You.' You didnt know that my Cyber-Personality is to lure you into My lonely world so yeah--I need you more than you need me.
We kept eye contacts and I thought we affirmed how much love we shared.
But I was wrong! You accused your Cyberself for betraying you but yet you laughed
'is this the guy you'd chatted with?' You were amazed.
I am like a sea. I know you like it choppy. The turbulence sometimes makes it more fun than the quiet. But if I'm exhausted and I prefer it calm, would you sail on?

May this pen never dry! !

ReplyDeleteThis cyber-personality thing is a big issue these days because most people meet though social medias and after one or two days of conversing, you feel you have a connection with the "person"
Meanwhile all you know could be fake or another shade of the person. ..
When you now start relationship and you meet one on one.... Gbam....wahala starts
Mr James, this concise piece describes one of the major problem we face socially nowadays
We await more of this, pls
