My Cyber-Personality and Us (Female's)

She promised herself an eternal invulnerability. She had tried her best not to fall in love again. She uploaded Relationship miniaturising memes on her WhatsApp status just to curb any affection a guy may intend showing her, and to protect her being lonely with the phony Mindset of hating being in a relationship.
'Its a Defense Mechanism' she'd told her friends.

She had had many heartbreaks and another one could be deadening. She subtly craved for that anyway...NUMBNESS!

When she felt her friends having so much gleaming fun, she shaded her eyes and remembered the hurt she had felt, she was almost deciding to turn her back and silhouette on their brilliant relationships.

'Why would she do that?'

I thought friends should be quite happy with each other?

"Nah! Friendship, these days, is joking at my pain, perceiving my shortcomings as weakness and hoping the taunt would magically enhance my quick recuperation from my hurts" She had later learnt from a writer friend.

She was a loner in spite of the females flanking her. They provided her enough gossips about Boys anyway and either they did that to hurt her more or gossiping was just their thing? She couldn't say. She'd gone through a lot so she had every right to be paranoid.

The Universe however grants whatever one wants not just the way one expects.

After months of bending her reality with a bizarre new mindset, she had unknowingly grown a shell. In the shell was a perforation she had slid into without knowing how deep it was. She wanted to be different since she was actually different but having embraced her difference made her feel more different and detached even from her friends. Different people are perhaps lonely.

'I didnt want a relationship was all I asked and not to lose my friends' She told the lord one midnight.

She had forgotten that when benefits are in place, the devil likes disorder and he's always there. He tells you to add more salt. It's salt afterall he would say.

He had come in sheeps clothing and had told her to snub every relationship.
She wouldn't need it. She was too young to have any. You're stronger alone!
But it'd gotten dark and cold. She couldn't bear this anymore. She wanted someone to haul her out of this pit.
But how?
She consulted a friend who adviced her to be easy with boys and chat freely; this birthed her Cyber-Personality!

She started lol-ing to the flattery words that the guy sent in and perhaps believed they were true.
'You have the sexiest eyes ever!' The chap had mentioned one day.
She would spend many hours sitting opposite a mirror and her reflection became much more important than her reality. She fell in love with the man on the Internet.
She continued her ritual of prayer but now a different incense...
'Dear lord! I bless you for my friends.'
The following day, she had ironed her Ankara. The one that left out half her boobs. She had a great day ahead and She was to meet her Prince charming later on. It's a beautiful chance and she had to seize it.
"In the beginning God created the world and The Heavens but I created a Cyber-personality that later screwed me up..."
Those are the words she is starting her next article with.
